March the eigth

So, today was a stay at home day.  I cleaned and knit and watched The Darjeeling Limited.  Funny movie.  I also studded some clogs.  Pictured below, in order are:  The clogs; My new clogs: My old and very scummy clogs; Margaret's clogs, which I studded for her... Then there is the knitting project I finished.  It is a cowl.  So it is supposed to be twisted.  It is a traditional Icelandic pattern, used for men's sweaters.  I started it some time ago, finally finished it...and there are some pictures of the books I got from the library today.  I want warmer weather, but I am trying to enjoy the guilt free indoor time, and the bundled up outdoor time.  Oh, also, expect some more           studs for the spring and fall.  Metal ones, on clothes, I mean.

March

Astronomy picture of the day, from NASA.  Beautiful.

I am working away, making my Ladies Adventure Spring 2012 line.  I can't wait to go down the Mississippi in a canoe with Tony and Corbin.  This year I might even learn how to swim.  Then I can jump off the canoe too.  And almost drown.  Maybe I should stay in the boat, like last year, and yell at them to be safe.

I relined Nona's coat.  It was pretty gnarly, and a fun project.  I don't have much experience with things like that, so it took me a while, but it was so interesting to see how the lining was put together.

Here are some sneak peeks for the Spring/Summer looks.  I have been really working on the vests, hand knitting trim and using different color combinations. The little jacket is based on a vintage one I have, and is made from a light knit fabric.  The collar is made from a vintage table cloth.  The white work on those things are amazing!  I can't wait for warmer weather!
